Patient Resources

Clinical Mission

  • To form alliances with gynecologists and primary medical physicians in order to improve awareness of endometriosis as a cause of chronic pelvic pain and infertility and to improve interdisciplinary collaboration in approaching this entity.
  • Through increased communication with referrers and general practitioners, to improve directed diagnosis of this entity, improve referrals and therefore improve outcomes.

Radiology Practice Mission

  • Evidence based improvements in imaging techniques for detection and classification of endometriosis (optimal cross-sectional imaging parameters, susceptibility and functional imaging techniques)
  • Study interpretation guides utilizing case based examples, didactic lectures and workshops, using interactive cases with intra-operative correlation.
  • Standardized reporting: provide structured templates with minimum requirements for reporting, describing baseline (untreated) endometriosis as well as MR templates for describing patients status post treatment (medical/surgical).

Research Mission

To promote and encourage imaging research which is clinically relevant, and is in line with practice standards and developing innovations in treatment/management of endometriosis.
